People's Postcode Lottery
People's Postcode Lottery was created to raise vital funding for local, national and international charities. Millions of people across Britain play the Postcode Lottery every month and more than £1.5 BILLION has been raised for good causes since 2005.
The lottery's news team, based in Edinburgh, helps deliver good news — and those famous golden envelopes — to winners and charities in postcodes around the country. They travelled more than 120,000 miles last year and share uplifting news stories with regional and local news titles every week of the year.
The Postcode Lottery Group operates lotteries in the Netherlands, Sweden, Britain, Germany and Norway. It's one of the world's biggest private charity donors. A total of €14.5 BILLION has been raised across the five countries since the first Postcode Lottery was launched in Amsterdam in 1989.
