What tip would you give entrants?

First of all, please enter. Be proud of your work and the chance to share what you have achieved. Second, present it well. Don't make it too long, make it compelling and something that delights the judges.

What do these awards mean to you?

Our industry is expert in focusing on the challenges and things that aren't working. But when you get to actually see the work that goes on in newsrooms every single day, we should be proud of the quality that is produced and the real impact it is making to people's lives. After all, that is why most journalists enter this brilliant profession.

What are you most looking forward to as a chair of judges this year?

Seeing the outstanding work - the best of the best our industry produces. Being able to celebrate that work and see the journalists rewarded for their efforts
