Gavin has over more than 28 year' experience in leading newsroom to engage audiences in multi-platform news delivery.  He is the current editor of the Northern Echo, group editor for Newsquest in the North East and Regional Editor North East and Yorkshire for Newsquest - overseeing editorial management across numerous daily and weekly titles in those regions. Gavin is also former managing editor at the Sunderland Echo, Shields Gazette and Hartlepool Mail and editor of ChronicleLive for Reach. He is a passionate advocate for journalism training
