What are you looking for in winning entries?

I'm looking for original and authentic journalism that holds truth to power and challenges the status quo. The winning entries will highlight important stories, show range and depth of written skill as well as connect and engage the readers.

What top tip would you give to this year's entrants?

My top tip would be to not be shy! I want to hear about your achievements, what motivates you and what keeps you going. No story is too small to tell. I want to hear about personal motivations and why journalism is important to you.
