Simon Murfitt

Simon started out in journalism as a reporter on the Brentwood Gazette and worked his way up through the ranks before becoming a news editor with Herts & Essex Newspapers in 2017. He did various news desk roles with Reach in the South East and Cambridge, before making the move to Newsquest as editor of the Watford Observer in 2022. Since then he has taken on more responsibility in adding all of Newsquest's London titles under his remit.
