Nadine White is a multi-award-winning journalist, editor, author and filmmaker specialising in race, politics and social justice. Britain's first dedicated Race Correspondent, she has produced agenda-setting journalism for outlets including The Independent, HuffPost UK and The Guardian. Her work has been cited in Parliament and in dozens of books and academic studies. Nadine is the founder and editor of Black Current News, an award-winning independent Black British news platform, and has been recognised by Forbes, Amnesty International and Condé Nast.

What top tip would you give to this year's entrants? 

Make the significance of your journalism unmistakable. Clearly explain what prompted the work, how you approached it and what changed as a result. Do not assume the judges already know the story or its context. The strongest submission will help them understand not only what you produced - but why it mattered.
