Ian Day

Ian Day has spent more than 30 years working in the media industry, building a career that has taken him from professional photographer and picture editor to senior roles in editorial management. He has worked across both regional and national media, most recently as Deputy Editor of The Yorkshire Post, one of the UK's leading regional newspapers. He was the first photographer in the newspaper's 270-year history to be promoted to this role. Ian is also a Fellow (FRPS) and Accredited Senior in Imaging in the Creative Industries (ASICI) of the Royal Photographic Society. He now works as a photography and media consultant, bringing together his experience in visual journalism and newsroom leadership.
