She has reported on a range of topics, from social media bans to sexual harassment in the classical music industry to the rise of the passport bro movement.

What are you looking for in winning entries? 

I am looking for human-centred stories that have made a proven impact on communities and readers. Smart use of multimedia to get important stories to the right people. An element of surprise.

What top tip would you give to this year's entrants? 

Put forward stories which have a demonstrated impact on communities and have reached the people who need to know. Don't just include the number of clicks/shares, include audience feedback you have received.
