After almost three decades of life in local and regional newspapers Hannah Thaxter left her role as Editor of the Yorkshire Evening Post in 2019 to move to the Hebrides where she now lives and works as a freelance content creator and a commercial feature writer. She is also an examiner for the NCTJ and works for the local tourist organisation and is on the board of trustees for her local community paper.
