Mark Williamson

Stratford Herald

Mark Williamson is a news photographer working for the Stratford Herald, primarily in south Warwickshire and the Cotswolds. His portfolio of three photographs features the millionaire MP for Stratford-on-Avon Nadhim Zahawi being interviewed in front of students in the fiction section of a school library, the image illustrating an article about the newspaper's coverage of the former Chancellor of the Exchequer's tax affairs after an inquiry found he had breached the ministerial code. In the second photo, a visitor to the Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park was captured in a tunnel of light created using a flash and pull zoom lens technique. Activists at a protest in the third photo featured a passionate disabled woman, having travelled many miles, making her point about the alleged cruelty at a south Warwickshire pig farm housing 8,000 animals.
