Charlotte Ikonen

I work with newsrooms across the country to strengthen local journalism, build trust with readers, and grow loyal audiences through engaging digital strategies.  My focus is on helping journalists create content that reflects the needs of their communities while making the most of digital tools such as SEO, social media, and content optimisation. I'm passionate about supporting local titles to thrive in the digital age and ensuring trusted journalism remains at the heart of everything we do.  Outside of my role at Newsquest, I volunteer as a press officer for the RNLI, where I support safety campaigns and community engagement.
