Blanca Schofield is assistant culture and books editor for The Times and Sunday Times. A modern languages graduate from Ireland and Spain, her cultural interests are broad. She has interviewed Dame Judi Dench, Pedro Almodóvar and Noel Gallagher, among others, and written about the world of forgery, Georgian ballet and Ukrainian art. She has also done several oral histories for anniversaries, including one on Four Weddings and a Funeral and another about Friends. She writes regular gig reviews and runs The Times best new tracks playlist, which has thousands of followers. In 2025 she won the Press 30 under 30 award for her journalism.
